1. Change oil frequently

This is probably the most important preventive maintenance you can do. Motor oil can help lubricate internal components, which can minimize friction. Over time, motor oil will become contaminated with contaminants and moisture, and its effectiveness will be reduced accordingly. Motor oil can provide grip to the top or bottom of the car.

2. Adjust or lubricate the chain

Lubricating your car chain can prevent it from rusting. A rusty chain will increase the difficulty of driving the wheels with the engine. You should also adjust your car chain regularly. Otherwise, it will loosen with time and move away from the sprocket of the car.

3. Check the sprocket

Check the sprockets to see if there are deformations or broken teeth or other wear. You only need to pull out from behind the sprocket, and if the clearance exceeds a quarter of a foot, replace the sprocket.

4. Check the bearings and lubricate if necessary

The most important thing is that you need to lubricate every moving part of your car. Every year you need to lubricate your swing arm bearings, steering and wheels once or twice. Otherwise, the bearings will get stuck and neither the slider nor the wheels will drive.

5. Adjust the valve

The valve will tighten over time. If the valves are tightened, heat may cause the valves or pistons to melt the cylinder walls and melt each other. Therefore, adjust the valve regularly.

6. Keep the air filter clean

Just like you, your motorcycle needs fresh air to survive. Dirty air filters can cause the engine to attract deposits, such as dirt. When these particles are caught in the moving parts, the parts will wear out or even break prematurely. Therefore, clean the air filter, air dry the excess water, and use a fan to help it dry out. Then, lubricate and reinstall it.

7. Maintenance exhaust

Blocked pipes make it more difficult to exhaust the engine, which reduces power. This also makes it difficult to start the car. Therefore, ensure that the pipeline is not blocked, rusted, excessively oily, and the exhaust pipe packing is not damaged.

8. Cable lubrication

The rusty cable will not only shorten the service life of the motorcycle, but also a significant safety hazard. Especially rusty brakes and throttle cables. Rusting can be prevented by simply lubricating the cable regularly.

9. Clean your motorcycle

Cleaning your motorcycle can effectively prevent dirt from getting caught in moving parts. This is the simplest preventive maintenance, and also a motorcycle beauty you can do yourself.
