You must buy a helmet when riding a motorcycle. The helmet has the functions of ensuring safety, windproof and decoration. The price ranges from several hundred to tens of thousands of yuan. When choosing a motorcycle helmet, you can choose the helmet type, material, size, brand and test. Level to choose.

1. Helmet type

Full helmet: refers to a fully enclosed helmet. After wearing, only the lens can be opened and closed, and the safety factor is the highest. The buffer material inside the helmet can protect every part of the head, which can better reduce wind resistance and reduce noise. It is also the reason why motorcycles use full helmets. It is more troublesome to wear in life. Even if the mouth of the lens is opened, it is still blocked. In summer, it will be hot when the car is stationary.

Half helmet: The safety factor is the lowest. After all, it only protects three-quarters of the head area. It is more convenient to wear. You can wear a helmet to communicate directly.

Uncovered helmet: It is equivalent to a deformation of the full helmet. Most of them are double lenses. They are suitable for motorcycle travel and urban commuting. You can take the helmet to drink water while driving. Mostly use sliding buckles, but under special circumstances, the buckle may fall off. Probably, and the full helmet uses double D buckle more firmly.

Off-road helmet: The extended brim is added to block the sunlight when flying. The mouth has a large space to protect the mouth and chin. The eye opening can be worn with off-road glasses to prevent dust from entering the eye. The full helmet is not sufficiently dust-proof. Mainly used in off-road venues for non-paved road riding.

2. Material

ABS plastic: ABS plastic is a terpolymer of three monomers of acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene. It is a tough, hard and rigid material with easy raw materials, good comprehensive performance, low price and wide range of uses. Mostly used on cheaper helmets, but relatively brittle.

FRP: FRP generally refers to glass fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin and phenolic resin matrix. Reinforced plastics made of glass fiber or its products have higher rigidity and impact resistance than ABS plastics, but the disadvantage is that they are relatively heavy.

Carbon fiber: Carbon fiber refers to an inorganic high-performance fiber with a carbon content higher than 90%. It has the inherent nature of carbon materials and is also a reinforcing fiber with soft textile fibers. The advantages are light, strong impact resistance, high safety factor, but more expensive.

3. Size

European Department: Because Europeans have large heads and belong to the slender type, European helmets are more famous for agv. The problem is that when they buy a smaller face, they usually buy one size larger than their heads. Decide according to your own situation.

Asian Department: It is designed according to the head shape of Asians. It can be purchased normally. Asian Department is famous for SHOEI, ARAI and other brands. These two helmets belong to Japanese brands. Japan is in Asia, so it is called Asian Department helmet.

4. Brand

This depends on how much money you have in your pocket. Good brands are more expensive. The better ones are the AGV, SHOEI, ARAI, etc. mentioned above. You can often see them in motorcycle races, and hjc, The domestically produced LS2, tanks, Swiss lion and other helmets are good, and Marushen is also okay. It was acquired by a domestic brand and is loved by many people for its two horns.

5. Test level

DOT: U.S. Department of Transportation Certification

ECE: EU agency certification
