1. Check the electric starting mechanism

The installation position of the starter motor on the engine is easy to identify. Use a No. 10 T-shaped wrench to remove the motor fixing screws (2 M6 specifications) from the crankcase.

Use a multimeter to detect the starting motor failure. Set the multimeter to the R×1Ω file. Check the motor resistance (resistance 0.1Ω). When the resistance is ∞, the motor rotor and the positive power supply are disconnected due to the wear of the carbon brush. Remove the starter motor from the engine, disassemble the motor, replace the carbon brush or motor commutator (rotor).

Use special tools to disassemble the magneto rotor assembly and check the electric start overrunning clutch spring and roller; if the spring is deformed, the elasticity is poor, the roller is worn, etc., it should be replaced. Continue to use a pneumatic wrench to remove the overrunning clutch fixing screws and disassemble the electric start overrunning clutch. The internal structure of the electric start overrunning clutch (gland, washer, spring, roller);

Carefully check the components of the overrunning clutch. Rotate the overrunning clutch in the forward and reverse directions. The overrunning clutch does not move in the clockwise direction and rotates in the counterclockwise direction. Otherwise, there is a problem with the electric start overrunning clutch. If necessary, replace the overrunning clutch spring, ball and other faulty parts. Check the electric start transmission device, use circlip pliers to remove the active sprocket circlip of the electric start transmission chain;

Remove the driving sprocket and the driven sprocket from the motor shaft; check the driven sprocket shaft: install the sprocket shaft into the electric starting overrunning clutch, and when rotating the overrunning clutch driven sprocket in the forward and reverse directions, keep it in the clockwise direction. Rotate counterclockwise. Otherwise, there is a problem with the electric start overrunning clutch driven sprocket. Take out the starter motor from the crankcase and check whether the spline of the motor shaft is worn; the spline of the motor shaft is worn, and there is a problem with the power transmission between the motor and the transmission device, which causes the electric starter to work abnormally.

2. Check the electric start control circuit

The multi-clutch structure of the curved beam motorcycle enables the engine to be started electrically in any gear. Therefore, the electric start control circuit is relatively simple. Mainly by the battery, fuse, ignition switch, electric starting relay and other electrical appliances. In this part of the inspection, check the 10A fuse; the fuse socket is rusty and has poor contact, and should be replaced as a set. After the fuse is blown, the 10A fuse should be replaced, and the fuse socket must not be short-circuited.

Check the electric start control system circuit and electric start relay. Use a wire to short the positive lead between the battery positive power supply and the electric start relay and the motor. If the motor is energized and rotates, the battery is normal and the motor is normal;

Use two wires to connect with the positive and negative poles of the battery and the L/W and R/W connectors of the electromagnetic coil of the electric start relay respectively. The electromagnetic switch of the electric start relay is closed and the motor is energized to rotate. The electric start relay is normal and the motor is normal. Otherwise, there is a problem with the electric start relay control circuit.

Check whether the ignition switch and the electric start button are in bad contact between the contacts due to water entering. The detection method is that when the ignition switch is in the "on" position, the voltage between the black wire of the electric start relay and the ground should be 12V. Otherwise, the ignition switch contacts are in poor contact.
